Make Ten
Find pairs of numbers that add up to 10 before the 60-second clock runs out.
How to play
- Select “Let’s add” to begin. The clock starts straight away.
- Tap a tile. It turns teal to show it is selected.
- Tap a second tile that adds up to 10 with it. Both clear and new numbers drop in.
- Tap a selected tile again to cancel it. Keep going until the clock reaches zero.
Scoring
Each pair earns 1 point. A wrong pair costs 2 seconds, so a careful pick beats a quick guess.
The board always has at least one pair that makes 10. Make 20 pairs for quick maths and 35 for a human calculator. Your personal best is saved in this browser when storage is available.
Tips for a better run
- Learn the five partners: 1 + 9, 2 + 8, 3 + 7, 4 + 6 and 5 + 5.
- Pick one number first, then look for its partner, rather than scanning for both at once.
- Two different 5 tiles make a pair.
- Clear rare numbers like 1 and 9 when you see a partner — they are harder to match later.
Frequently asked questions
Can I play with a keyboard?
Yes. Use the arrow keys to move between tiles and Enter or Space to pick one.
Is there always a pair on the board?
Yes. New numbers are chosen so at least one pair always adds up to 10.
Can I pause?
Press Escape, or leave the browser tab. The clock stops and the board is hidden until you resume.
